Getting the Most Out of Your Poker Bonus 3: Loyalty Bonuses And Points

Loyalty Bonuses And Points
To keep the interest levels of players up, online poker rooms have created lots of bonuses and promotions. One of these promos is the Loyalty Bonus.

Loyalty bonuses are awarded to players who play frequently at the tournaments and ring games of a particular poker site. Loyalty bonuses mostly give out cash prizes monthly depending on how many times a person plays. There are varying degrees of earning loyalty bonuses, with the ones ranked higher getting a bigger prize. These degrees are Iron, which is the lowest level that a player can have, Bronze, followed by Silver, next is Gold, then Platinum, and finally Platinum Plus.

By earning these loyalty points, the player can use them to join tournaments and nightly freerolls, or exchange them for cash. The amount given for loyalty points vary with each poker game site that offers them. Gamers can monitor and see the progress of their respective loyalty points while playing at a certain table simply by accessing its display tab, or by going to the lobby of the site.

How does one earn these loyalty points then? Of course, the only way to get them is to play and to play more. A frequent gamer is awarded with points monthly and the bonus is based on the average of the points that he earns in three straight months. To compute the average, the networks take percentages from the three months, with 20% from the first, 30% from the second, while 50% from his third.

Before a player qualifies to the lowest level, which is the Iron, he must first earn 2,000 to 3,499 loyalty points in a month for the prescribed three-month period. Once the player is able to generate the required loyalty points, he is immediately given a loyalty bonus of $15. The next level is the Bronze. The player from the previous level can reach this if he is able get 3,500 to 7,999 points every month, for three months at least. The available loyalty bonus doubles to $30 for players who are in this level. Once the player is able to get 8,000 to 14,999 loyalty points monthly within the next three months, he upgrades his level to Silver. The player then receives a $60 loyalty bonus every month.

After the Bronze level, a player can get an upgrade to the Gold level. This is possible only if he is able to increase his loyalty points to 15,000 to 24,999 each month for three consecutive moths. At this level, the player will receive a $100 monthly bonus. Higher than Gold in the ranking is Platinum. This level is an automatic option for players who are able to get 25,000 to 49,999 in loyalty points within three straight months without fail. In the Platinum level, players can get $125 as monthly bonus.

Of all the previous loyalty levels, it is the Platinum Plus that is the highest. Reaching this certain level is a challenge since a player should come up with 50,000 points and higher to be qualified. Those who are in this exclusive level get a princely sum of $200 monthly. This means that the said player has played so many games for three straight months to earn that whopping amount of points.

To receive loyalty bonuses regularly and keep the position or ranking as far as bonuses are concerned, the player needs to maintain his or her loyalty points. Should the player come up short of the required number of these loyalty points, he runs the risk of having a smaller cash bonus or lose it altogether.
